Schizachyrium scoparium
'Blaze' is a densely tufted, slowly spreading, clump-forming, deciduous, perennial grass with erect stems bearing linear, blue-green leaves turning red in autumn and, from late summer into autumn, narrow racemes of purple-brown flower spikelets followed by fluffy, silvery-white seed heads.
