Our garden in the residential district of Tallinn, Kristiine, is in climate zone 5, the same zone also includes the Estonian islands and the coastal area. The rest of Estonia belongs to climate zones 4 and 3. Our garden is open to the south, sunny and is sheltered from cold north winds. Winters here in the capital are mild and there is generally little severe frost. Summers are hot, the temperature in the garden can rise to 30 C and above. Autumns, however, are long and warm, rainy.Summer, autumn, winter in the model garden.
In the garden, we propagate plants and observe the progress of ornamental grasses, their vitality and the manifestation of varietal characteristics in the local microclimate. The best time to visit and observe ornamental grasses in our garden is from late July to October. The ornamental onions with big flower spheres are most beautiful here in May-June, depending on the weather.Winter and early spring in the production garden
