This onion relative has loose umbels of delicate bell-shaped flowers that hang downwards like, well, bells from tall leafless stalks! The flowers are an unusual burgundy-pink and green with white edges. The leaves are long and strap-like, triangular in cross section and twisting as they rise. They smell of onions. The bulbs are easy to grow and bloom.
