Synonym: Allium 'Toabago' Allium ‘Spider’ is a hybrid between Allium schubertii and Alliumatropurpureum. It bears spiky, ‘firework’ flowerheads with star-shaped, dark purple florets with bright green centres. It’s a fantastic choice for large containers and sunny borders, and works well when planted in drifts with ornamental grasses and other alliums. It remains ornamental in the garden well into summer.
Good cut flower in fresh and dried arrangements. Favorite of bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
