Allium ‘Spider’ is a hybrid between Allium schubertii and Allium atropurpureum. It bears spiky, ‘firework’ flowerheads with star-shaped, dark purple florets with bright green centres. It’s a fantastic choice for large containers and sunny borders, and works well when planted in drifts with ornamental grasses and other alliums. It remains ornamental in the garden well into summer.
