RHS Award-winner Allium has strong thick ribbed stem, large glossy green leaves til flowering, with large globe-shaped inflorescence, 20 cm across, densely packed with hundreds of small, star-shaped dark purple flowers. It remains ornamental in the garden well into summer. Good cur flower in fresh and dried arrangements.
