Turkestan onion              (Allium karataviense)

Highly decorative Allium with its elegant globe-shaped clusters, 8 cm wide, of starry pale pink flowers and its fabulous broad and recurved, blue blue-green foliage, slightly red edged. The faded seed heads look like small sunbursts on dried stems. It's perfect for growing in large clumps at the front of a sunny border or gravel garden, and makes a good cut flower.
Favorite of bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
